Being a True Friend (me as a Christian friend)

Friendship is meant to be developed, planned and cultivated.
There are 2 types of friends - Casual friend & Close friend.

Casual friends are the result of circumstances,
Close friends are result of choice.

The bible say that we must choose our friends wisely, as mentioned in Proverbs 12:26
"The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray"

Here are the types of people you should <u>avoidu> being as close friends with them:
- Lazy People
- Angry People
- Immoral people
- Greedy people
- Unbeliever

As seen in Proverbs 15:19 - The way of the lazy man is like a hedge of thorns. But the way of the upright is a highway.
1Cor5:9 - I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.

Here are the types/characteristics of people you should look out for for a close friend(s):
- Look for those who help me to be wise
(Proverbs 13:20 - He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed)

- Look for those who will help me share my burden
(Galatians 6:2 - Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ)

- Look for those who will help me grow spiritually
(Hebrews 10:24 - And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works)
sometimes, in a certain point in life, our spiritual self might be low, therefore we need friends who can help us, by stirring us up again! so as to serve God happily:D

Above all these mentioned, we, must be friendly!
Proverbs 18:24 - A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother

Lets seek God to find our true, close, best friend today!:D
