Verse for today's visit:

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

GLASS OF MILK

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?'
You don't owe me anything,' she replied. 'Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness.'

He said .. 'Then I thank you from my heart.'
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ..
'Paid in full with one glass of milk'
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: 'Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands.'

There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the waters comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time. If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?

This is from an email. I'm Christine here. Good day. (:

Keep walking

But now, thus says the LORD,

who created you, O Jacob,

And He who formed you, O Israel:

“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by your name;

You are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

And through the rivers,

they shall not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,

Nor shall the flame scorch you.

For I am the LORD your God

-Is 43: 1-3

"Arise and Build" happens all around the world!

Pastor Kevin Loo is not unfamiliar to many of us. We heard his testimony many times in Emerge conferences. =) take a look at what he wrote in his church website (esp. the red words in bold)

Hi church!

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

How are you keeping on? I pray that your family and you are blessed and well as this bulletin reaches you. A week has passed since I first talked about Arise & Build. This is a very important season in our church as we put our faith into work and our words into action. It is time for us to give to the building of the house of the LORD.

I always consider this as a privilege because if we are not growing, if we are not in revival, if we are not experiencing God then there is no need for us to build or expand the house of God. If the church is dwindling, then there is no need for us to raise any money at all. One of the reasons why God prospers us is so that we may give generously to the house of God. When the house of God is established, it can be a blessing to many generations after us. And it is with this purpose that we are willing to do so much.

This weekend is traditionally known as Pledge Weekend in our church. It is the time for us to pledge and commit our financial commitment unto the LORD. Our target is to raise RM1.6 million from Nov 2007 to February 2008. And in the next 4 months, we can break our pledge into 4 parts; fulfilling 25% of it every month or we can also give everything all at one go.

But how much should each individual give? The Bible teaches us that every giving ought to be a freewill offering. As a church we do not set any amount. The individual ought to seek God themselves for an amount. Some will be more and some will be less. The amount may vary but I believe everyone will sacrifice. The value of our church has always been UNEQUAL GIVING, EQUAL SACRIFICE.

Church, may I challenge you to give your best to God. Do not be afraid. God is faithful and He will never shortchange us. And as we give, I believe all of us will see and experience the floodgates of heaven opened over our lives!

City Harvest, let’s arise and build.

Yours for revival,

"Arise and Build" happens all around the world!

Ladies Night Out

Had fun with christy and steph at junction 8 today. Ate at Cafe Cartel and these girls really love to take photos. Haha. Had BS with christy.
Life - Love = Zero!!!

After that, went back to NTU hall. Felt like taking a stroll. So... decided to alight at church bus stop.

isnt our church beautiful? I'm very excited abt this weekend's Arise and Build. As I walked past the building, I was reminded by God. This building is a reminder of how miracles can come true! It is a miracle building! If God has done for us once, He can do the same again! Let's arise and build Him a great house in the marketplace.

Unequal amounts, equal sacrifices!!!

Let your harvest in! =)
Arise and build to this......

Love,
Siew
