First Impression
Hey guys,
Just came back from my GB meeting. Taught my girls from our children church material (DreamFactory) how to have a good first impression. Thought could share with u guys as well.
How to welcome new friends, we need to FIRST
1) Be Friendly

2) Be Initiative
= taking the first step without being told to do so
= sometimes, we are like supermarket trolley. We only move when we are pushed.
3) Respect them
= story of Noah and his three sons (Genesis 9:22-25)
= one day, he was found drunk and naked
= one of his sons broadcasted it to everyone while the other two sons covered his nakedness.
= Noah blessed the two sons but cursed the other.
= No one is perfect. We must learn to respect everyone though they are different from us. Then we will be blessed!
4) Serve them
= Jesus is the greatest Servant of all. He washed His disciples' feet!
= Matthew 20:26
Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant.
5) Touch their lives
= Are your friends' lives different after they know you?
= story of the good Samaritan.
= Luke 10:30-36
Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed,[j] he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
