Today service was GREAT!!
5 styles of how we can connect to God
1) Contemplative style.
This group of people loves silence.
They tend to reflect on things at the end of the day
The environment is very important to them
When they are alone, they are very sensitive
One e.g. is apostle john
2) Intellectual style
Basically they are people who love to study the bible
When a pastor preaches a word during the svc and jus share jokes etc..
He/she will feel that something is missing
Like there is no meat
One e.g. is martin Luther king
3) Serving style
This group of people likes to be busy all the time.
They feel God most when they are using their gifts to bless other people
These are action oriented people
E.g. Mother Teresa
4) Relational style
These people love to works in groups
Can relate to a lot of people
They cannot be alone that kind one
5) Charismatic style
These people love worshipping God
They connect to God through their feelings
They need something they can see and feel
Like they love playing the guitar
E.g. Benny hinn (he uses music to usher in the presence of God then people get healed, miracles happen)
So how are we going 2 put this into practice?
1) Identify your primary style
2) Arrange your life around it
3) Understand and accept others who are different from you
4) Learn other ways of communications with God
5) Consider the implications of this model
I feel what really impressed upon me is that we build our lives on truth and not by our feelings and that we got to build an environment where all 5 styles are balanced.
I got it from a friend who went for sat service.
